Now that you're sold on the idea, let's walk through the necessary steps to make your group tattoo experience a reality:

1.) Elect a Spokesperson- Choose one person in your group to act as the spokesperson. Their role is to facilitate communication between the group and our support staff. This person relays information about the group’s tattoo idea, and ensures that everyone's preferences are taken into account.

2.) Get on the Same Page- For a seamless experience, it's crucial that your group agrees on the following:

  • Tattoo Design: Decide whether you want matching tattoos or if there will be variations. Discuss the design ideas and gather references that clue our artists into the style of tattoo you are looking for.

  • Placement: Determine where each person in the group wants their tattoo. If not everyone is getting tattooed in the same spot, narrow it down to a couple of areas to make the process smoother.

3.) Ask Questions- If you have any specific questions or need further information, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help and provide guidance on any aspect of your group tattoo session.

4.) Submit a Booking Request- Once your group is ready, submit a booking request on your group's behalf on the I&D website.

How to book as a group.

Although booking as a group is more or less the same process as booking as an individual, there are a few details that would be helpful to include so we can best assist you.

Group Size- Let us know how many people are in your group.

Timeline- Share your group's availability and any specific target dates to help us coordinate your schedules with our artists’ availability.

References-  Provide references images for each type of tattoo being requested so we can determine what artist(s) to match your group up with. Below are a few tips for finding quality reference photos:

  • Search Google Images for the “subject matter” or “tattoo style” along with the word “tattoo”

  • If you have a preferred artist, look at their image gallery on the I&D website

  • Search for tattoo ideas on Pinterest

  • Be aware that we will not duplicate original tattoo designs done on others. The images you provide are only for reference

Placement- We typically ask for photos of where clients want their tattoos to be placed on their bodies, but acquiring these photos from multiple people can be difficult. Try your best to narrow down your group’s tattoo placement. If it differs per person, try to condense it to a couple of areas for the entire group. We always suggest arms and legs as they provide ample space and are easily accessible areas to get tattooed.

How does pricing for group tattoos work?

Flexibility is key when it comes to getting tattooed as a group, and figuring out cost is no exception. We offer two primary pricing models to cater to your preferences and budget.

Flat Rate:

  • Artists will provide a flat rate per tattoo/person.

  • Small tattoos typically range from $150 to $300 each, making this option ideal for budget-conscious groups.

  • If your group is looking for simple, small tattoos, this model might be the perfect fit.

Session Rate:

  • Most artists have a session rate that can be booked for the entire day, usually priced between $1200 and $1500.

  • It allows your group to get multiple tattoos or spend more time with the artist to ensure the perfect design.

  • This option is perfect for larger groups or those looking for more complex and intricate designs.
